Beliefs
Consuming Fire House of Prayer is a place where the radical gospel message and God’s presence heals and transforms people, communities, cities, nations, and the world for the glory of God.
Who We Are? We are a body of creative, Holy spirit-filled believers who love Jesus, the body of Christ, celebrate and develop the gifting in others, reach the lost who do not know who Jesus truly is and we desire to keep our lamps trimmed and burning with the fire of God. Our key focus will be on prayer & intercession, 24-hour prophetic praise & worship, evangelistic outreach, discipleship, missions, family and fellowship, awakening/revival meetings, and the study of God’s Word. We will host 24-hour sessions of prayer/intercession, worship, prophecy, and the radical gospel message in action. We are called to set the captives free, transform culture, and equip the people to do the greater works in their spheres of influence. We are a ministry of reconciliation, restoration, and rest. We desire to see believers become a sign and a wonder for God’s glory.
What we Believe:
The Bible is 66 books, inspired by the Holy Spirit. Each book is infallible, authoritative and has the final authority for all we believe and live our lives by. (John 6:63), (Hebrews 4:12), (Psalm 110:105) The word of God must be rightly divided and used for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) God’s Word is both written (logos) and spoken (Rhema-an inspired Word birthed in your own spirit, breathed upon by the Holy Spirit, and actively spoken with expression).
We believe in only one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are not separated from each other, but each has a different function.
The attributes of each person of God:
God is the creator (Elohim) of all things (He is creative), He is a loving Father (Abba) to all (For God so loved the world John 3:16). He is God Almighty (El Shaddai), He is the Lord that will provide (Yahweh Jireh), He is the Lord that Heals (Yahweh Rapha), He is the Great I am (Yahweh), The God most high (El Elyon) He is holy meaning He is Perfect in all His ways. He is there (Yahweh Shammah) He is calling us to be Holy and to follow peace with all men. Without Holiness no man shall see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14) He is the Alpha and the Omega (Alpha & Omega). The Lord my banner (Yahweh Nissi) He is eternal not bound to dimension of time; He encompasses all of eternity. He is good. He is righteous. He is beautiful, majestic, powerful, loving, Joyful, Just, faithful, the Truth, forgiving, omnipotent, omni-present, and there is no one like Him. Exodus 15:11, 1 Samuel 2:2, Hebrews 12:14-29, We are His Creation made in the image and likeness of Him. Genesis 1:26 27 We are created for His Glory, for His pleasures (Revelation 4:11), for His purposes (Proverbs 16:4), , and it is in Him that we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28
Jesus is the only sinless Son of God. He was born of a virgin Mary as fully human and fully God. He was the Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14) There is no other name under heaven by which man must be saved. (Acts 4:12) He was without sin and became sin for us, that we may become the righteousness of God in Him. (II Corinthians 5:18; 5:21; Colossians 1:19-20) He reconciled us to God, He was crucified and died for all our sins, was resurrected from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God making intercession for us. (1 Corinthians 15:4), (Luke 24:50), (Acts 1:9-12), (Romans 8:34) Jesus is the miracle worker. Our elder brother, who calls us friends. He is our deliverer, our provider, our healer, and our peace. He came to seek and save the lost, make disciples, save the world from sin and death, give us eternal hope, bind up and heal the broken, promised to never leave us or forsake us, and desires to be in a relationship with everyone who calls upon His name. Jesus will return to take His bride someday so we must watch and pray to miss His return. (Matthew 24:42; Revelation 1:7; Revelation 22:12; Titus 2:13; John 14:3) Please be ready for His return and do not get left behind. Make Jesus your Lord and Savior today.
Holy Spirit-Is the third person of God, who is a loving comforter, the Spirit of truth, our helper, convict the world of sin, He will guide us into all truth, (John 16:8, 12, 13), The Holy Spirit fell upon the Apostle and disciples following the Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ. When it fell upon men, they received power to be a witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 2:1-3; 1:8), The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Grace keeping us from falling. (Hebrews 10:29) The spirit of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. The Holy Spirit is a beautiful and very useful gift from God that keeps giving. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are Words of wisdom, knowledge, faith, healings, miracles, prophecy, distinguishing between spirits, tongues, and the interpretation of tongues. (1 Corinthians 12:8-10), The Holy Spirit gives gifts of administration such as prophecy, serving, teaching, exhortation, giving, leadership and mercy. (Romans 12:6-8) The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23) He is our friend, present help, and revealer of things before they happen. The Holy Spirit is now presently available to everyone by just asking. Receive an infilling of the Holy Spirit right now.
Salvation You must be born again, or you cannot see the Kingdom of God. Born of the water and the Spirit. (John 3:3-7) Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) It was by grace that we are saved through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man boast. (Eph. 2:8-9) Repent ye, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 3:2)
Sanctification- This process is for believers, sometimes noted as the second work of grace. This work causes the believer to be holy, have God’s character and live a life that reflects Jesus Christ. Yielding to this process allows the Holy Spirit to work in us, transform our hearts, minds, will and emotions. The power of the Holy Spirit helps us to say no to sin, read and understand the Word, deny ourselves, examine ourselves, and let us abide in Christ to become His new creation. As a follower of Jesus Christ, we must be set apart, not conformed to this world, disciplined, and to walk in relationship with Jesus daily. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (Philippians 2:12)
Water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We believe in being fully submerged into water (Matthew 3:16-17, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-4) “We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4); (Matthew 3:11; 28:19); (Acts 2:4)
Equipping of the Saints for the work of ministry To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. We are an equipping ministry and desire to call forth the gold in each person so that they may use their may fulfill their purpose for God’s glory. God has given the Church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. (Eph. 4:11-16) We desire to see the body function in order, liberty, and allowing others who are like-minded to move out in their gifts and abilities God has given.
Discipleship We will walk alongside new believers, developing a relationship with them, teach them how to fish, teach them how to rightly divide the word, walk in love, develop a prayer life, and grow into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew Chapter 28:18-20) This will be done through Bible study, a new believer’s class, and fellowship.
Healing and Deliverance There will be an emphasis on ministry time for those bound and desire freedom. For I am the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26) I will give you back your health and heal your wounds. (Jeremiah 30:17), “Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” And these signs will accompany those who believe in my name they will cast out demons; (Mark 16:17). Deliverance is the children’s bread, and no one must live a life of torment, possession, or depression. Matthew 15:26) Freedom is available to all.
Prayer & Intercession, spontaneous Praise/Worship, creative arts (dance, painting, etc.) “My house shall be called a house of prayer.” (Matthew 21:13) We desire to become a house of prayer both individually and collectively. We will have extended meetings of prayer and praise and worship. We will follow the Glory cloud and allow the Holy Spirit to freely move through spontaneous praise & worship, soaking times of silence, warfare, praying and deep intercession, and creative arts.
This is our time, and this is our moment to see a mighty move of God throughout the land.
